Search Engine Specialist (SEM/SEO) - Helpbit

A successful SEM/SEO Specialist will effectively manage the paid search budget and work with the Marketing team in order to maximize ROI, drive traffic, and customer acquisition. They will also be responsible for managing the SEO activities such as content strategy, link building and keyword strategy and work with the Development team to increase rankings on Google, as well as Android/iOS App Stores.


Primary Responsibilities:             

  • Execute SEM across bidding, ad copy and landing page optimization
  • Drive new customer acquisition and build the channel to one of the most significant acquisition channels for the start-up
  • Manage an increasing SEM budget, optimize and scale campaigns against tight granular KPIs and Target CPAs
  • Execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns
  • Effectively perform ongoing keyword research including discovery, expansion and optimization of keyword opportunities for increased campaign performance and scale
  • Optimize copy and landing pages for organic SEO success
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
  • Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented in newly developed code
  • Responsible for App Store Optimization (Android and iOS) through development of suggested strategies and execution of action
  • Write apps description using highly relevant traffic-generating keywords and trending search term, while ensuring clarity, succinctness and appeal to core target audience
  • Work with editorial and marketing team to drive SEO in content creation and content strategy
  • Create an in-house Marketing Center of Excellence and share best practices with HQ

Job Requirements

  • Proven Performance Marketing experience managing Google SEM campaigns and SEO initiatives
  • Well-versed in performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
  • Experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Excel expert who understand advanced pivot tables, concatenation, VBA, macros and statistical analysis is highly preferred
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM
  • Highly proficient in English and Arabic
  • BS/MS degree in Marketing or a quantitative, test-driven field
