Managing the allotted category / Item-types to ensure that the required items are procured in time
Work closely with internal and external "customers" to ensure timely availability of inventory
Pay great attention to details and follow up to ensure timely receipts of ordered inventory
Work with Account Management on creating PO once sales are finalized
Resolve any supplier performance or any supply chain issues prior to any business interruptions
Assist in establishing/modifying procurement policies according to business needs
Take on ad-hoc projects and assist with inventory control issues when needed
Create/maintain status reports for management when needed
Able to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
Able to work independently and also knows how to work as part of a team
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work tasks
Problem solver with great sense of urgency
Strong communication and follow-up skills
Proficient with MS Office (especially with Excel)
Knowledge of ERP, SAP or any other WMS systems is preferred
Good Communication (written & spoken)
